Let me just say this up front:
Nope, not weird. Not even a little. In fact—very cool.

Seeing colors during energy healing is actually one of the most beautiful signs that your intuitive gifts are waking up. It’s like your soul saying, “Hey! I’m here. I’m tuned in. I’m feeling this.”

So what does it really mean when you see colors while receiving energy work?

Here’s what’s really going on:

You Might Be Clairvoyant (Even If You Don’t Know It Yet)

Seeing colors, light, or shapes during a session is often a sign that your Third Eye Chakra—also known as the Brow Chakra—is coming online. Located between your eyebrows, this energy center is linked to intuition, imagination, insight, and spiritual vision. When it begins to open, you might notice subtle imagery, flashes of light, or color waves as your inner perception strengthens.

Clairvoyance literally means “clear seeing”—and those flashes of color might be your inner vision warming up. You don’t have to be seeing spirit guides or past lives (yet). It can start with something as simple as purple waves, golden light, or a soft color cloud swirling behind your eyelids.

• Yellow = Solar Plexus
• Green or Pink = Heart chakra
• Blue = Throat chakra
• Indigo or Purple = Third Eye
• White or Gold = Crown

If you saw a burst of violet? That’s likely third eye or crown chakra work. A wave of green? Big heart-opening energy. Even black or gray swirls can indicate energetic clearing in process.

Try this: After your session, journal the colors you saw. Over time, you might notice patterns—and those patterns can reveal your soul’s healing roadmap.
